You Don't Matter, Give Up.
Welcome to "You Don't Matter, Give Up."
This community is inspired by the concept of text that conveys opposite messages when read in a different manner. While it shares similarities with !dontdeadopeninside@lemmy.ohaa.xyz and !nosafetysmokingfirst@sh.itjust.works in that all of these play with the idea of misreading text, YDMGU specifically focuses on phrases that can be read in both directions, with each interpretation being valid and opposites of each other.
Important Note: This community is not a place for discussions about suicide or self-harm. If you or someone you know is struggling with these feelings, we urge you to seek help. Please visit !suicidewatch@lemm.ee or reach out to appropriate resources for support. You matter, don't give up.
Rules
-
Stay On-Topic: All posts should relate to the theme of YDMGU-style text. Content should convey antagonistic messages when read in different directions.
-
Be Respectful: All members should treat each other with respect. Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks will not be tolerated.
-
Quality Content: Strive for creativity and originality in your posts. Low-effort or repetitive content may be removed.
-
No Misinformation: Ensure that any messages or themes shared are not misleading or harmful. The intent should be to uplift, even if the wording is ironic.
-
No Spam or Self-Promotion: Avoid posting spam or excessive self-promotion. This includes unrelated content or links that do not fit the community’s theme.
-
No Rule Lawyering: Moderators have the final say in all decisions regarding content and rule enforcement. If you disagree with a moderator's decision, you are welcome to discuss it in !yepowertrippingbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com.

akunohana learns electricity
IMPORTANT NOTICE
I have no formal education related to electricity or any other branch within the natural sciences. I take no responsibility for the factual accuracy of the posts, comments or any other content within this community. Background
I never really appreciated school, especially not the natural sciences, during my years of attending compulsory education. Fast forward 25 years and I find the natural sciences fascinating, especially the topic of electricity. I cannot wait to learn all there is to know about it. I cannot wait to see how far I can go with this semi formal approach. This community
I'm going to summarize what I learn about electricity from a highschool textbook(Swedish! ISBN 978-91-40-67650-4) and workbook(Swedish! ISBN 978-91-40-68182-9). Feel free to comment, but:**RULES
- Follow the rules of the lemmy.blahaj.zone instance.
- Try to provide sources for your statements.
- Clarify when stating your own opinion.
- No NSFW posts.
- Bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Please be kind and respectful to all.
- If you want to answer any of my questions, try to answer them as if you were explaining the matter to a child. I strongly believe that - to some extent - that which you cannot explain to a child, you do not fully understand.
- If you intend to correct another commenter or engage in a discussion, be nice and educational about it.**
*Any image, video or other data that appears in my posts in this community and that is accompanied by a source (URL, litterateur, etc.) belongs to its original creator(s). If you find any material therein that belongs to you and you want me to take it down, write me a dir

Lemmy reports more active users than there really are, so “active this month” on Lemmy forums is an upper estimate. More
