Recommend A Game
Welcome to Recommend a Game! This is a brand new community for you to share your thoughts, reviews, demo impressions or just gushing about indie games you've recently played.
When posting, please consider the following guidelines:
- Posts should be in English
- You should have actually played the game. Discussing newly announced games belongs in !news@indie-ver.se
- Posts should be your writing. They can be a text post or a link to an external blog or YouTube video that you made, but don't post IGN articles
- Your post should be more in-depth that just "this game is great!". Why is it great? What parts of it are not so great? What kind of person would also enjoy this game?
- I don't think we need any posts about what incredible hidden gems Stardev Valley, Celeste and Vampire Survivors are.

PferdeSindKacke

Secular Humanism
Secular humanism is a nonreligious worldview that embraces human reason, secular ethics, and philosophical naturalism while specifically rejecting religious dogma, supernaturalism, and superstition as the basis of morality and decision-making. It is based on the Western tradition of liberalism and Enlightenment thought. Secular humanists use compassion, critical thinking, and human experience to find solutions to human problems.
This community welcomes everyone and the rules are very simple.
Maintain a respectful and inclusive community by refraining from engaging in hate speech, including racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, or any form of discrimination targeting individuals based on their religion, race, ethnicity, or belief system. This includes personal attacks, harassment, promotion of harmful ideologies, or spreading divisive content. Violations of this rule will result in content removal and permanent bans. Keep it civil!
Please refrain from posting explicit or not safe for work (NSFW) content. This community should be suitable for all ages and maintain a family-friendly atmosphere.
Please refrain from spamming, advertising, and preaching.

Brussels⚜
Chatter and news related to Brussels, Belgium.
And by extension, Belgium, because anything that applies to Belgium as a whole also applies to Brussels. Unlike r/Brussels, c/Brussels is open to criticism and will not censor posts for exposing negative aspects of Brussels.
primarily English, for now
Any of the national languages should in principle be okay here. But if there is much activity in the natl. languages then we will need moderators for those languages. The founding moderator can only competently moderate English posts. So until moderator capability expands, please try to post in English.
Rules & moderation style
Mostly hands-off, live and let live.
Be civil. We don’t want to test the lax moderation style.
Other relevant mags/communities:
!belgique@jlai.lu
!belgium@0d.gs !Belgium@europe.pubSomewhat relevant but not recommended: europe on feddit.org. They are quick to censor posts even when rules are not broken.

Voxel Game Development
A game development sublemmy for discussing the creation of voxel games, and voxel engines.
Rules:
- Keep posts relevant to other developers and titles representative of the content (no click-bait) - topics of interest include algorithms and code snippets, artistic techniques, free assets, tools or engines, and game design. All posts should be voxel-related and should be of interest to (or require feedback from) other developers, not just gamers. Titles, including the titles of linked content such as videos and articles, should be representative of the content and free of click bait.
- Avoid advertising and promotional posts - this community is generally not the place to advertise or promote your game or product. Avoid submitting links to game trailers, press releases, app store pages, etc. However, you may showcase your work from an artistic or technical perspective (but see the next rule), and occasional posts of game development products will be permitted.
- Limit the frequency of 'showcase' posts - It is easy for useful development resources to get lost among people showing off their work. Therefore please ensure that any showcase posts show significant progress from previous posts, and use Voxel Vendredi for more incremental updates. Provide information about your development process, languages, tools or tips for other developers. Don't just cross-post content from gaming pages.
- No rude/offensive posts or personal attacks
- No blockchains (NFTs, cryptocurrencies, Web3 etc.) - No posts or comments about blockchains (NFTs, cryptocurrencies, Web3 etc.) and projects which use them. We may remove posts/comments which refer to projects which actively use blockchains.
- Voxel Vendredi - The weekly Voxel Vendredi thread is more relaxed and ideal for showing off you progress updates and screenshots, as well as asking for feedback or play testing. It starts every Friday - 'vendredi' in French - and runs over the weekend. Shameless plugs, progress upd

Lemmy reports more active users than there really are, so “active this month” on Lemmy forums is an upper estimate. More
