Let's Plays and Long Plays should be contained. We encourage exposing people to new games and great content, but there is a fine line between entertaining the audience and spamming them. Please post only one link for a certain game. We have a filter that allows people to sort for just this sort of content.
-
Be nice to each other. No bullying or harassment of any kind.
-
No spam Do not spam your own content. No more than 10 percent of your posts may be self-promotion.
-
No buying/selling/trading/swapping. When it comes to buying/selling/trading/swapping items of any kind, that is not allowed on here and that information can be found on various reliable websites.

Bienvenide

𝕲𝖔𝖙𝖍
this is very broad umbrella goth community until we get enough content / subscribers to justify split, so
- tradgoth fashion, proper original 80s goth music
- goth adjacent music genres
- goth adjacent fashion/culture
- general macabre stuff
on top of the normal instance rules:
please make sure you add a NSFW marking for anything gorey (though Gorey is still fine :) )
please make sure links to material dealing with e.g. self-harm have appropriate content warnings
please be nice to each other. if you think something's stupid/bad, just downvote it and move on. if you think something doesn't belong in this community, messaage it to the community mods who will do any gatekeeping necessary. this means you should not be showing up in the comments to tell someone their post is not real goth.

Singularity
The technological singularity—or simply the singularity—is a hypothetical future point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization. According to the most popular version of the singularity hypothesis, I. J. Good's intelligence explosion model, an upgradable intelligent agent will eventually enter a "runaway reaction" of self-improvement cycles, each new and more intelligent generation appearing more and more rapidly, causing an "explosion" in intelligence and resulting in a powerful superintelligence that qualitatively far surpasses all human intelligence.
— Wikipedia
This is a community for discussing theoretical and practical consequences related to the singularity, or any other innovation in the realm of machine learning capable of potentially disrupting our society.
You can share news, research papers, discussions and opinions. This community is mainly meant for information and discussion, so entertainment (such as memes) should generally be avoided, unless the content is thought-provoking or has some other qualities.
Rules:
- Be nice to everyone, even if you disagree.

Organised Pseudolegal Commercial Arguments (pseudolaw, freemen-on-the-land and sovereign citizens)
People who make pseudolaw arguments to try, unsuccessfully, to exploit perceived loopholes in the law that are usually promoted by "gurus". In the US they are known as sovereign citizens but in the UK and the Commonwealth they are also called freemen-of-the-law, with the more formal phrase Organised Pseudolegal Commercial Arguments used by the authorities to describe these attempts.

Lemmy reports more active users than there really are, so “active this month” on Lemmy forums is an upper estimate. More
