Computer RPG Games
Community for CRPG games and other RPG gaming discussions. Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Baldurs Gate as well as indie RPGs (Underrail, Avernum, Space Wreck etc.). Focus is on CRPGs, but discussion around JPRGs, ARPGs and hybrid games with RPG components is also welcome.
Tabletop/pen & paper RPG discussion is not a good fit for this community. Check out !rpg@ttrpg.network for TT/P&P RPG discussions.
Memes are not banned, but the overwhelming focus is on discussions, releases and articles. Try and post memes (on an occasional basis) that would make people who don't like memes admit "OK! That was a good one!".

Good News UK
Welcome to Good News UK! This community exists to try and offset some of the doom-and-gloom on Lemmy in a healthy way.
More information will be added soon.
What can be posted in Good News UK?
Currently we are still figuring out what classifies as "good news" in this community, so for now feel free to post whatever you think qualifies as good news so long as it doesn't break the instance/community rules.
Our only requirement at the moment is that posts are UK-specific.
What if I think a post isn't Good News?
Good News UK is intended to be a community of nuanced discussion and education moreso than a community for excessive unfounded optimism.
Most good news comes with some elements of bad news or things that can be done better. We request that you post mindful and detailed challenges on the post itself in these cases if it doesn't otherwise break the instance/community rules.
Low-effort, unproductive, and unhelpful comments which challenge whether or not something classifies as good news are discouraged and such comments may be removed.
Cross-Posting
Cross-posting is allowed. We encourage you to post content in communities such as !nature@feddit.uk and !energy@feddit.uk first and then cross-post here after a few days.
General Instance Rules:
- No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or xenophobia.
- No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies.
- No harassment, dogpiling or doxxing of other users.
- Do not share intentionally false or misleading information.
- Do not spam or abuse network features.
Community Specific Rules:
- Keep posts UK-specific.
- Keep comments in English so that they can be appropriately moderated.
- Do not post low-effort, unproductive, and unhelpful pessimistic comments.
- Do not post doomer comments.
Here are some communities to post good news from elsewhere in the world:

Battle Maps - DND/TTRPG Battlemaps
Welcome to battlemaps@lemmy.world! We're a vibrant community of DnD and tabletop gaming enthusiasts, creators, and admirers dedicated to sharing and discussing diverse maps of our cherished tabletop universes. Regardless of whether you're an expert cartographer or a novice, we're thrilled to embark on this creative journey with you.
What We Are: A tight-knit community fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for sharing, discussing, and appreciating maps for Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop games.
How to Contribute: Share your creations by clicking "Create Post" and upload your map. Use a descriptive title to give a snapshot of your map. The description can elaborate the context, design process, or the story behind the map.
Community Guidelines:
Respect All: Discrimination, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, or transphobia, will not be tolerated. We aim to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
Constructive Criticism: Encourage and engage in respectful and constructive dialogues about map designs. Remember to provide feedback that is constructive and considerate.
No Offensive Content: Maps or comments containing explicit, violent, or inappropriate material will not be tolerated. Let's maintain a community that's friendly for all.
Self Promotion & Accessibility: Creators wishing to promote their work are welcome. However, maps posted here should be freely accessible to all members. Watermarks are permissible. Links to your social media, Patreon, or paid content should be in the comments of your post.
Focus on Maps: While not strictly enforced initially, we encourage posts to be map-focused. Questions or discussions about the games themselves are best taken to our related communities.
Let's embark on this journey together, shaping the worlds of our imaginations into unforgettable maps. Welcome aboard, fellow cartographers!

Lemmy reports more active users than there really are, so “active this month” on Lemmy forums is an upper estimate. More
