This is karaoke stripped down to its most essential element: the lyrics that made you fall in love with a song in the first place. No audio, no humming, no beat-boxing in the comments. Pure, unadulterated WORDS.
Drop those lyrics that hit different at 2 AM. Share the verse that perfectly captures your Monday morning existential crisis. Post the chorus that's been your personal anthem since high school but you've never told anyone.
We're here for the poetry hiding inside pop songs, the storytelling buried in rap verses, the one-liners that rewired your brain chemistry. Whether it's a deep cut from 1967, or that TikTok song everyone's obsessed with, if the WORDS moved you, they belong here.
What we want:
- Lyrics that slap (metaphorically)
- The lines that made you rewind/replay/repeat
- Songs you discovered through the words alone
- That one verse that feels like it was written about your life
What we don't want:
- Audio of any kind (seriously, not even humming)
- Your shower singing recordings
- Beat drops or instrumental appreciation

A community for graffiti artists to hone their skills through friendly competition.
~~Each Monday, beginning at 18:00 UTC, a new contest will be held in which artists may submit a work of graffiti art depicting the chosen word of the week. The artwork which receives the most upvotes by Sunday, 18:00 UTC, will be deemed that weeks winner. The winner of that week's contest gets to pick the next word. ~~
The contest has been suspended until enough interest has been generated to give it another shot. Until then, feel free to submit works of street-art (your own, or just that which you enjoy seeing) in accordance with the rules below, which still mostly work despite there not being a "contest" at the moment.
Rules:

Don't be a dick. As art is subjective, not all submissions will be enjoyed by everyone. Criticism is acceptable, so long as it is constructive. This means if you are going to tell someone that you don't like their art, you must also tell them why and how you would personally improve upon it. The goal is to help one another progress as artists, not to put one another down. 1a. As a caveat, if you are uncomfortable receiving criticism, you may write NO CRIT in your post. Posts including NO CRIT can be voted on, however no comments may be made about this art, good or bad. 1b. Downvoting is not allowed on a submission under any circumstances. We are voting on the art we like and want to see win, not the other way around. If a competitor is caught downvoting, their submission will be disqualified for the week.

All submissions must be in a physical medium. This means no digital artwork or AI. All physical media submissions are acceptable. This includes anything including paint, pencil, stencil, or even macaroni art if that is what you choose.
2a. You do not need a fancy scanner to submit your entry. Cellphone photos of the work are perfectly acceptable. -
